Wind, Views & New Faces Cubs Run Club at Watergate Bay 🌬️
Last night was a proper one.
We had 21 runners turn up for our weekly Cubs Run Club at Watergate Bay, and despite the wind trying its best to push us sideways, the vibe was all smiles and good energy.
The run was chilled – as always. A few small groups, some new faces flying solo, a handful of locals, and even a few Watergate Bay Hotel guests who joined us while down in Cornwall on holiday. It’s kind of the best bit about this run club you never quite know who’s going to rock up, but you always leave with someone new to say hello to.
The Route
We took our usual route from Watergate’s coastal path out to Porth Island and back. The wind was wild, but it stayed dry and those views? Still unbeatable. Running along the cliffside with the ocean roaring below never gets old.
There’s no pressure to keep a pace here some people jogged, some walked a bit, a few pushed for a bit more. It’s not about time or distance. It’s about moving, chatting, and soaking up the Cornish coastline together.
9 New Runners – Welcome to the Crew
Big shoutout to the 9 new runners who joined us for the first time. Some were locals who finally made it down, others were just visiting Cornwall for a few days. All legends. If that was you – we hope you felt at home and we can’t wait to see you again.
Post-Run Perks – Beers, Brews & Tees
Back at base, we handed out free beers and coffee to anyone who fancied a post-run treat. We also dropped a surprise free online codes for a Cubs Run Club t-shirt. Bit of a thank you from us to you for being part of something cool.

We’ve decided to make it official – Cubs Run Club is now happening every Monday evening through summer.
